Personal Information
We do not gather any personal information from you, such as your name, phone number, street or email address unless you have chosen to share this information with us. Personal information is only obtained if you supply it voluntarily. This includes when you:
- Send us an email or request additional information
- Use our “Receive Email Updates…” service
- Fill in a feedback form or contact form
- Click the “share” button on any page
- Participate in a poll
Our “News and Notices” services
When you subscribe, you authorize us to send you an email newsletter or notice from time to time. You can unsubscribe at any time sending us a request. We comply with Canada’s Anti-spam Law (CASL).
Online Services
Our website includes a number of online services including “Tree Orders” and “online bookings”. These services and the related transactions are done through SSL-encrypted technology. This means that information including credit card payment details are transmitted to us securely. After your transaction is complete, we do not store your credit card or other payment information.
Tracking your website visit
When you visit our site, the web server automatically records the following information:
- Your IP address
- The type of browser and operating system you use
- The date and time you access our site
- The pages you visit
- How long you spend on each page
We use this information to help us make our site more useful to visitors, and to learn about the number of visitors to our site and the types of technology our visitors use.
Making Payments
We collect information about you during the checkout process on our store.
When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and item -specific information. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:
- Send you information about your account and order
- Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
- Improve our store offerings
We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing address. Generally, this information is stored on our website for up to 12 months but for up to 7 years offline for tax and accounting purposes.
Who on our team has access
Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:
- Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
- Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.
- Our team members have access to this information to help fulfil orders, process refunds and support you.
Payments
We accept payments through Moneris. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to Moneris, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information. Credit card data is merely passed on to Moneris for processing your payment and is not stored by the website or by the SCRCA. See Moneris’ Privacy Policy Statement.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to help us better understand how our website is used. Google Analytics will save a cookie to your device but will not store, save or collect personal information. For more information please read Google’s privacy policy.
