Description

The planting of trees to commemorate major life events is a ritual that has been performed for centuries. Often, after the passing of a loved one, family and friends gather to plant trees. This everlasting celebration has served to perpetuate the cherished memories of those gone before us. As the trees grow strong and tall; people can continually take both pleasure and comfort in their presence. By giving the gift of life through the planting of a tree, the memory of a loved one can live on forever. Each year, the Conservation Authority will hold a dedication service to honour loved ones and to support their families and friends.

At the time of purchase you will be required to include:

  • who you would like to plant the tree in memory of. Please ensure correct spelling for the certificate of tree planting.
  • the name of the person/group who is requesting the memorial tree – Name(s) will also appear on the certificate
  • the name of the Conservation Area where you wish to have the memorial tree planted (to be selected from a drop-down list at checkout)
  • the name and full mailing address where the notice of your donation and certificate will be sent
  • your billing information

Individual trees, although planted at the Conservation Area of your choice, are not specifically identified at the time of planting.
